Dear Sonet and Alex,

I am writing in support of the amendments raised in the Jump, Skate, Pump deputation to the City of Wanneroo Council Agenda Briefing on 8 September 2026, regarding the Draft North Coast Growth Corridor Community Facilities Plan.

The North Coast Growth Corridor is WA's fastest-growing community. The current plan does not adequately reflect the scale, safety requirements, or urgency of the active recreation infrastructure this community needs.

I am asking the Council to:

1. Revise spatial allocations to match the real-world benchmarks cited in the plan itself — the Otium report references John Dunn Challenge Park as the example, yet the spatial allocations in the plan fall well short of that scale. If John Dunn is the benchmark, build to it.

2. Correct asset definitions so facilities are built safely for their specific disciplines — the plan conflates distinct disciplines with incompatible safety and design requirements.

3. Include the proposed Alkimos MTB precinct in this plan — a significant community asset that is actively progressing and belongs in the corridor's long-term infrastructure framework.

4. Accelerate the delivery timeline so our kids can use these facilities while they are still kids — the current plan fails the young people already living in this corridor. They will be adults before a single facility is realised.

Perth has the opportunity to host the first-ever UCI Pump Track World Championship on Australian soil. The facility is the only remaining condition. The community is ready. I urge the Council to act.
