Community advocacy and skatepark planning

About JSP

Built by the community. For every rider.

Our Story

Perth has world-class riders. It's time for world-class facilities.

Jump, Skate, Pump started simply — a lifelong rider and father of young kids, frustrated by ageing infrastructure that wasn't keeping pace with the families and riders who needed it most. The goal was straightforward: better facilities for the local community.

The vision has since grown into something far larger. What began as a grassroots push has attracted genuine government and industry support for a landmark facility — one that caters to every level, from first-timers and families through to elite training and international competition, across every discipline.

Western Australia produces elite athletes across Pump Track, BMX Freestyle, BMX Park, Skate Park, Skate Street, Mountain Bike & Slopestyle, BMX Racing, Scooter, Blades & Skates, and Beginners & Balance Bikes. Yet the infrastructure to develop that talent — and to serve the thousands of everyday riders who simply want a safe, well-designed space to ride — has remained chronically underfunded.

JSP exists to change that permanently. Not one skatepark. A long-term framework for how Western Australia plans, funds, and builds world-class active recreation infrastructure for the next generation.

What We Stand For

Our principles guide every submission, every meeting, every decision.

01

Evidence-Based Advocacy

We build our case on data — participation rates, economic impact, tourism potential, and community health outcomes. Every submission we make to government is grounded in research and international best practice.

02

Inclusive by Design

World-class facilities serve everyone. From beginners on balance bikes to elite BMX racers, our advocacy pushes for multi-discipline spaces that grow with their communities over decades.

03

Long-Term Thinking

Infrastructure lasts generations. We advocate for facilities built to the highest standards — not the lowest budget — because getting it right the first time is always cheaper than retrofitting mediocrity.

04

Community-Led

Riders, parents, coaches, and local communities are the experts on what their region needs. JSP amplifies those voices in the rooms where decisions are made.
